Compliance Solutions - PCI Compliance
UnitedLayer offers a range of compliance solutions for our customers. UnitedLayer is SAS70 Type II certified in all its data centers. This means that an independent accounting firm has audited that policies and procedures, as defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), are followed by UnitedLayer in their day-to-day service operations.
As per the SAS 70 organization, a SAS 70 Type II certification “represents that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit of their control objectives and control activities, which often include controls over information technology and related processes. In today's global economy, service organizations or service providers must demonstrate that they have adequate controls and safeguards when they host or process data belonging to their customers”
UnitedLayer is also working towards adhering to the upcoming SSAE 16 reporting standard.
UnitedLayer is PCI Compliance Ready. PCI Compliance standards, as defined by the Payment Card Industry, requires certain security obligations for businesses that process credit cards as a method of payment for their goods and services.
UnitedLayer has enabled several customers to set up their solutions in a manner that comply with PCI standards. This means that UnitedLayer architects the solution, that includes:
- Physical Security of the customer infrastructure
- Architecture of their compute infrastructure
- Securing any backup data
- Deploying secure, qualified OS’es and Applications
- Regular virus scans
- Ongoing monitoring of Ports for intrusion detection
