Infrastructure - Power
Infrastructure is at the heart of any datacenter that all the Cloud services depend on. At UnitedLayer Infrastructure means the following:
- Safe and Secure Data Centers
- SSAE 16 Type II Compliant
- Uptime for Power and Cooling
- Serviceability of Infrastructure Components
- Monitoring and Alerting
- Continuous Improvement processes
Security:
Our Data Centers offer the following security features for our customers and employees:
- Perimeter security
- Biometric security
- Video monitoring and recording
Within our data centers, we offer our customers the following security features:
- Locking Cabinets
- Custom Locking Cages.
- Motion detectors and custom bars on cages.
Power and Cooling:
To provide Power and Cooling to our customer’s IT infrastructure, our dedicated world class facilities team designs, operates and monitors the critical power and cooling equipment that are monitored on a 24x7x365 basis.
Our goal to reduce our carbon footprint means that we continue to invest in state of the art design and methodologies to meet these objectives, while maintaining an industry leading average uptime.
Colocation is about providing uptime. The most critical component of uptime is power and cooling. Our full service facilities and engineering team design, deploy, monitor and operate our critical power and cooling systems. To deliver power, this includes, redundant power distribution architecture all the way from utility feed, generators, UPSes and PDU's.
Needless to say, this attention to detail and importance paid to up-time means that our customers reap the benefits of our data centers that have redundant N+1 power and cooling infrastructure, and in selected cases, even 2N power and cooling.
Power Distribution Highlights:
- 250+ Watts/square foot
- Redundant diesel generators provide power backup
- (N+1) / 2N UPS architecture
- AC Power – 1,2, or 3 pole @120V / 208V + 15A-225A circuits
- DC Power – Nominal +/- 48V
- Monitored pdus for in-cab power distribution
- Redundant power available in all configurations
