Privacy Policy

The purpose of this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is to enhance the quality of the Services and to protect UnitedLayer (known as UL) customers, and the Internet community as a whole, from illegal, irresponsible, or disruptive Internet activities. This Policy applies to each Customer and its employees, agents, contractors or other users of UL Customer equipment. Each User should use common sense and good judgment in connection with the Services. Parents or guardians should always supervise minors while using the Internet. Parents and guardians should remain aware at ALL TIMES of what is on the Internet and how the minors under their care are using the Services and the Internet.

Information Collection and Use

UL collects personal and/or corporate information when you register for an account, when you visit UL pages, and when you request assistance via email or phone. During such actions, we may ask for information such as your name, email address, birth date, gender, zip code, and other personal and/or corporate information. This information is automatically received and recorded in our database, as well as in our website log files. UL uses this information to fulfill your requests for products/services, provide anonymous reporting for internal/external use, provide assistance, etc.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

UL does not rent, sell, or share personal and/or corporate information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies, except to provide products/services you have requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

  • To respond to legal documents, such as subpoenas, court orders, or legal process; i.e. to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.

Confidentiality and Security

UL limits access to personal and/or corporate information about you to employees. During web access to your records, UL uses Secure Socket Layers or SSL; this protocol encrypts all data sent from your computer to our server, so no one can intercept your personal and/or corporate information.

UL may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal and/or corporate information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your UL account or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
