UnitedLayer is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain its systems and hardware. Our ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and some experience with cable installation and computer terminal maintenance. He/She will respond to service requests for all the DC work in this position. He/She should be comfortable working with various equipment, including CAT6, CAT5, and fiber optic cabling.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep an inventory of all Assets
- Ensure all the assets are tagged and identified properly
- Perform hardware and Software installations
- Perform routine maintenance
- Assist Engineers and Helpdesk in providing complete support
- Install new equipment and software when required
- Ability to perform basic hardware and software installs
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science Electrical Engineering
- Experience with cable installation and installing server and network equipment
- Experience with installing Network Equipment
- Good familiarity with Server hardware
- Experience with Windows/Linux/Ubuntu installations
- Experience with Mac /Android devices
- 3 -5 years Prior Experience as a Data Centre Technician
- Good familiarity in racking and stacking hardware
- Good familiarity in installing system and Network Hardware
- Ability to carry and list 25 to 50 pounds
