UnitedLayer® Announces IPv4/IPv6 Dual Backbone & 575+ Peering Sessions

SAN FRANCISCO, October 14, 2009 — UnitedLayer, LLC, a privately held company and Managed Colocation Services firm, reported over 575+ peering sessions and full IPv6 including a full Multicast enabled IP Backbone.

SAN FRANCISCO, July 16, 2009 — UnitedLayer, Inc. (https://www.unitedlayer.com) a privately held Colocation and Managed Infrastructure Services firm today reported a profitable Q2/2009, despite the broader negative economic climate. Today’s disclosure is voluntary.

UnitedLayer, which maintains over 35,000 square feet of Turn-Key Datacenter (TM) space in San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles and Ashburn, Va., reported a sales increase of 15% over its last quarter, while EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) increased by 55% over last quarter — a result of increased sales and previous cost reductions.

“We have experienced our second consecutive profitable quarter for the year and maintain a positive outlook for the remainder of 2009. We remain on target to have a profitable and cash flow positive 2009. Increasing demand has caused additional utilization of our facilities,” said Arman Khalili, CEO of UnitedLayer. “With the continued rise in demand for scalable, secure and reliable Internet infrastructure services, we have seen tremendous growth this past year across our service offerings.”

“We have a unique opportunity to attract solid talent during these tough times, and have increased our head count in Engineering, Operations, Sales and Marketing. We plan on hiring for the remainder of 2009, our hardest job is to select quality candidates from the volume of job applicants,” said Khalili.

With today’s agreement, UnitedLayer will provide a depth of colocation services for Black Oak Computers at its flagship 200 Paul data center facility in San Francisco. Colocation services include physical data center floor space for cabinets, power and cooling. UnitedLayer® Names Edward Buck, Director of System Architecture

SAN FRANCISCO, May 13, 2009 — UnitedLayer, Inc. (https://www.unitedlayer.com) a privately held Colocation and Managed Infrastructure Services firm, announced today the addition of industry-veteran Edward Buck as director of system architecture. Buck’s executive responsibility includes designing, deploying and managing all systems at the company.

Prior to joining UnitedLayer today, Buck served as founder and CEO of Aptimon, the developer of a next-generation management platform for systems management, monitoring and patch management.

Before launching Aptimon, Buck served as vice president of managed services at UnitedLayer. His original tenure at UnitedLayer was the result of UnitedLayer’s acquisition of ASPextra in 2006, which Buck co-founded .ASPextra was a provider of scalable, managed hosting solutions. In building ASPextra, Buck created a homegrown network and services delivery infrastructure, comprising multiple, geographically dispersed data centers serving customers in the US, Europe and Asia.

Buck has also previously served as director of business development as Nehanet, a company providing on-demand CRM solutions to component manufacturers around the world.

He also served as senior manager at Oracle, where his responsibilities included corporate business development, technology acquisitions, new business development and strategic alliances. While serving at Oracle, Buck was deeply involved in the technical evaluation, acquisition and implementation of Internet and e-commerce technology business deals that shaped much of how the Internet evolved in its early years.

On Heels of a Profitable Q1, UnitedLayer®, Inc. Announces Three Key Additions to Management Team

UnitedLayer, Inc. (https://www.unitedlayer.com) a privately held Colocation and Managed Infrastructure Services firm, today announced the addition of three new executives to its management team, on the heels of a highly profitable Q1 2009.

Albert Ahdoot, with more than 12 years managerial and consulting experience in the information technology industry, has been named director of business development for UnitedLayer. In this capacity, Ahdoot will lead all sales efforts in both online and offline market segments. Prior to joining UnitedLayer, Albert served as vice president of sales and marketing for Colocation America, where he helped secure a favorable acquisition through robust sales growth. Ahdoot received his bachelor’s of arts degree in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his master’s degree in Bio-Technology from New York University.

“Albert is an enormous asset to the UnitedLayer team. His experience, knowledge and foresight of the web hosting and managed infrastructure spaces enable our management team to make better-informed and well-reasoned decisions,” said Arman Khalili, CEO of UnitedLayer.

Armin Khalili, brother of CEO Arman Khalili, has been named director of sales and business development. Armin has more than 20 years experience as a manager, and has held a variety of senior positions in sales, business development, and marketing. He has served in Fortune 500 companies, including Samsung, ARM, General Electric and Altera.

“Armin is a Silicon Valley veteran and brings to the table seasoned business relationships and invaluable experience. After seven years of courtship, I have finally persuaded my brother to join our team,” said Arman.

Tom Washington, with more than six years experience working with ISPs and datacenters, has been named director of managed services and product development. Washington’s career highlights include managing, scaling, and implementing complex managed hosting solutions — from one to over one hundred node deployments. His specialties include both Windows and Linux hosting as well as service development.

“Tom’s background in sales, data center technology, and service development makes him an ideal executive to join our management team. Our company is built atop service and innovation, and these themes are emblematic of Tom’s entire career,” said Arman.
