AMAR RADHAKRISHNAN NAIR

Amar is a business and customer-centric technology management leader and strategist, with 20+ years of experience in leading, building, and transforming large cross-functional geographically distributed technology operations teams for leading financial institutions and technology companies with an ability, influence the mindset and culture, to keenly listen and address core issues, astute decision-making skills and the confidence to execute and deliver.

Amar started his career as a network engineer designing and deploying secure networks in the banking sector and has since played signifiant operations leadership roles in HSBC, GoldmanSachs, Fidelity, and Mastercard. He most recently ran global operations for Sungaard’s disaster recovery services. Amar is passionate about technology and operations, customer satisfaction, team building, strong collaboration and effective communication.

ANAS ALOUSI

Chief Technology Officer

Anas has been a part UnitedLayer’s leadership team since April of 2018. He is an accomplished Information Technology Operations leader who invests in building high-performing, subject matter experts that deliver results to augment the services business. Anas is also responsible for developing and maintaining strategic vendor partnerships.

Anas has over 25+ years of industry experience, overseeing business and technical operations disciplines for Information Technology, Infrastructure, Data Center, Security, and Cloud Computing. He has held several other consulting and leadership roles at Novell, ONX, CentriLogic, and Bell Canada/Q9.

Anas is currently working as the Principal Architect and is leading the development of several cutting-edge products and technologies in the space of colocation, mutlicloud management, IaaS, and next-gen edge cloud at UnitedLayer.

AARON HUGHES

Chief Network Architect

Aaron Hughes is a veteran technologist and entrepreneur who has served as our Chief Network Architect for more than 10 years. He also serves the Internet Engineering community in many elected and volunteer roles including serving as the current President of PeeringDB (3 years), current Chair of the Open-IX Board, former ARIN Board of Trustees (6 years), and PeeringDB Admin (10+ years). He also serves on several commercial advisory boards.

Prior to joining Terremark, Aaron led operations, sales engineering, and planning, and design as VP of Operations at YellowBrix – a content distribution company based on proprietary technology that uses Artificial Intelligence, linguistic pattern analysis, and entity identification to contextually analyze information and deliver it to clients. Aaron has also held network and system architecture roles at Certainty Solutions, Quest Technologies, RCN, UltraNet, and Channel 1 Communications.

BV JAGADEESH

Board Member

BV Jagadeesh is a Managing Partner at KAAJ Ventures. He has successfully invested and guided companies such as Nutanix (IPO), Yodlee (IPO), Arkin (acqd: VMWare), ElasticBox (acqd: CenturyLink), Net Magic Solutions (acqd: NTT), Ocarina Networks (acqd: Dell) and Ankeena (acqd: Juniper). Before founding KAAJ, BV Jagadeesh served as a founding investor and CEO of NetScaler. NetScaler pioneered the concept of Application Delivery and was successfully sold to Citrix for $325M and served as Group VP and GM for Citrix’s Application Networking division. Prior to NetScaler, he co-founded and served as CTO of Exodus communications in 1993 that developed the concept of Internet data centers. He was instrumental in the successful IPO of Exodus in 1998. Currently, Jagadeesh is an active investor and serves on the board of several Silicon Valley Startups. He is also an adjunct faculty at the Leavey School of Business, SCU. Jagadeesh is very actively involved with several nonprofits for the betterment of the world such as UVCE Foundation – providing scholarships to deserving students, One School At A Time – Constructs School buildings for the underprivileged, Akshaya Patra – providing mid-day meals to 1.6 million children every day.
